These events were a success in 2024, so we are bringing them back in 2025 plus the Strike Derby!
Championship Clash - Thursday 26 June 2025
An optional event initially open to one bowler from each team, plus the winner from last year.
13 bowlers will bowl one shot each, the lowest count is eliminated. This is repeated until we have a champion. In the event of two bowlers rolling the same count they will have a head to head roll off until the lowest count is eliminated.
Who will represent your team?
The 2024 Championship Clash was formed by volunteers by our 2023-2024 teams and bowled in reverse order of league finishing positions.
Round one saw five strikes, but a low score of 4 from Andie Burt with a quick exit from the competition.
We had four single ball roll off's in total.
The highest number of strikes goes to Stuart Rushton with 6 out of 11 shots.
A great night was had by all, with lots of league members coming down to watch, support and cheer!
Trevor Hammond-Thayre was the winner of the inaugral Championship Clash!
Strike Derby - Thursday 3 July 2025
Each team will select one bowler, he/she will have to bowl as many strikes as possible in 120 seconds. All twelve bowlers will bowl and the top eight will go head to head in a seeded knock out round.
Teams will be asked to select a bowler before our singles step ladder final takes place.
Who is your best striker?
Colin Hall Memorial Cup - Thursday 10 July 2025
A great success last year, we raised £3227.50 for Dementia UK and Macmillan Cancer Support in the memory of Colin Hall.
The event will consist of two qualifying games at trio pace. The top 16 will advance to a seeded match play knockout. This is a handicap event open to all bowlers with an average over 9 games at Hollywood Bowl Crawley.
Steve Flynn was the 2024 Champion, who will take home the trophy this season?
