Brand new for 2024! We will be having three optional events at the end of the season.
Championship Clash - Thursday 23 May 2024
An optional event open to one bowler from each team.
12 bowlers will bowl one shot each, the lowest count is eliminated. This is repeated until we have a champion. In the event of two bowlers rolling the same count they will have a head to head roll off until the lowest count is eliminated.
Who will represent your team?
The 2024 Championship Clash was formed by volunteers by our 2023-2024 teams and bowled in reverse order of league finishing positions.
Round one saw five strikes, but a low score of 4 from Andie Burt with a quick exit from the competition.
We had four single ball roll off's in total.
The highest number of strikes goes to Stuart Rushton with 6 out of 11 shots.
A great night was had by all, with lots of league members coming down to watch, support and cheer!

A fantastic night was had by all at the Colin Hall Memorial Cup!
48 bowlers from various leagues throughout Sussex and Surrey came together to compete and help us raise money for Dementia UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The top 16 from the qualifying rounds went on to head to head knockout rounds and finally it came down to Matt Arney against Steve Flynn. Although a handicap tournament, Steve Flynn was bowling from a scratch score and won the event with a respectable 224 in the final game.
Thank you from Dementia UK
Thank you from Macmillan Cancer Support
A special thank you from Pauline, Darren and Tanya Hall
Colin did enjoy his bowling but unfortunately had to stop when he became unwell. He kept saying "when I get better I'm going to start bowling again" but unfortunately that never happened. To honour his memory Darren came up with the idea of a bowling tournament and to raise money for Dementia UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
We have a lot of people to say thank you too, so in no particular order;
A very big thank you to Daren & Vicky, without their help we would not have been able to make the night a success. Darren had the idea but we didn't know how to make it happen but they were on board straight away and took charge.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the tournament . We hope you all enjoyed the night.
Thank you to everyone who sold and bought raffle tickets. We were lucky enough to get some very good prizes (thanks to Vicky for that). Congratulations to everyone who won a prize.
Thank you to all the team at Hollywood Bowl and for the use of lanes and special thanks to Trevor & Jaxon for dressing the lanes and making sure everything ran smoothly on the night.
Thank you to Jan for selling many of the raffle tickets and for taking care of the raffle on the night.
Thank you to all the businesses, big & small, who kindly donated raffle prizes.
Lastly a very big thank you for everyone's support for two very worthy charities and to those who won a cash prize on the night and donated it. I looks like it will be over £1500 for each charity.
Amazing raffle prizes available!
There will also be a raffle to win a 15lb Hammer Extreme Envy bowling ball. Entries are £10 each and limited for 48 tickets available.
Congratulations to Matt Arney, the winner of the Hammer Extreme Envy Bolwing Ball.
Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, we raised £480!
